Well, According to my opinion most of the new Pc's today have dual-core central processors (CPU). They only have one chip with two complete microprocessors on it.
I might be wrong

A computer is one such device.
A processor (if you are talking about the CPU (central processing unit)) consists of numerous transistors--sometimes millions. An Intel Pentium D has 230,000,000. There are no microprocessors in it since it is a microprocessor in and of itself.A microprocessor doesn't have to be a CPU, but can have a specific function such as graphics processing, sound processing, or FPU (floating-point unit). Of course, many of these separate microprocessors are no longer independent chips.
The SUN workstation was a computer workstation that was based on AMD Opteron microprocessors. The workstations were produced from 2004 to 2006 by Sun Microsystems.
A microcomputer is a small, relatively inexpensive computer having a central processing unit (CPU) made out of a microprocessor.[2] The computer also includes memory and input/output (I/O) circuitry together mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB).[3] Microcomputers became popular in the 1970s and 1980s with the advent of increasingly powerful microprocessors. The predecessors to these computers, mainframes and minicomputers, were comparatively much larger and more expensive (though indeed present-day mainframes such as the IBM System z machines use one or more custom microprocessors as their CPUs).

Granino A. KORN has written: 'Microprocessors and small digital computer systems for engineers and scientists'
A Microcomputer is a computer that features a microprocessor. Microprocessors are based on tiny, complex integrated circuits (ICs), allowing them to be small in size yet powerful.
Microprocessors
Microprocessor is the so called Brain of the computer.
comuter which uses microprocessors for control task that is the microprocessor based computer system........
Microcomputers are small computers having microprocessors as their central processor. Some of its advantages are portability, less costly, user-friendliness, thus making them ideal as home computers.
it only has 23
Microprocessors
The binary code wich uses only two simbols, the zero and the one, actually is used to create the programs that instructs the mechanical parts of the computer such as the microprocessors how to work or what to do.
A computer is one such device.
Microprocessor is the heart of computer. if we do not learn it.we dont know how the computer mechanism is actual working. how it stores data.how can it get all information.
Yes. Today's microprocessors have many, many times more transistors than those of the 1970's.
