it depends on what version your using i am using windows live messenger and when your in a chat window, there is a little arrow almost near the top right hand side you should just click it it hides and un-hides the picture hope this helps

I acidently deleted a pic from your computer and emptied recycle bin but you need to recover that pici used the pic as your msn display and it still in your msn regular pics but you cant save itcan?
Um - try pressing Print screen (on a normal keyboard - on the right of F12) then opening paint, and pasting it:)
