∙ 15y agoThere is no good reason for computer hacking. It shows that the 'hacker' is untrustworthy and disrespectful of the rights and property of others.
The best that can possibly be said is that some work to find security problems before others do, but the argument fails because if no one committed the crime, no one would need to guard against it. ~ Hacking is, in fact, sometimes a good thing. Being a hacker means you have an intimate knowledge of how the system works, so having that knowledge can open many jobs to someone. The specific job of hacking a system is usually undertaken by large security firms who are hired by companies who wish to make sure their security is airtight. A, for lack of a better word, good hacker is one that helps make peoples' systems more secure by fixing that which they can break through to stop others from using that for not so good intentions.
