There are different wireless networking standards that mostly determine the speed at which data can be transferred, but it sounds to me as though this statement of being compliant is just a fancy way to say that it is indeed a wireless device.UPDATE: I have since learned, that WiFi compliant has to do with a consortium of several manufacturers, and that they have trademarked the name WiFi and work together to make sure that their products are interoperable.
