Using the example in the comment, the Archos is a 7 inches screen, while the Nexus One has a 3.7 inches screen. At the same number of pixels, the density of pixels is double on the Nexus One. Remember, dpi means dots per inch. That means that the same image would be rendered twice as big in the Archos than in the Nexus One.
It is considered an output, because you can view results on the display. It is an input, because when you touch the screen, you are executing commands or inputting data into the computer, much like you would've typed on a keyboard or clicked on a mouse.
There are a couple of ways you can screen capture with a Motorola electrify. You can download an app that will do the screen capture for you. Or, you can hold down the power and volume buttons simultaneously, and this will accomplish the same task.
An iPod Shuffle has no screen and it ONLY plays music. The neat thing is that you can talk to it, it's called VoiceOver. The iPod Nano [Current 2011] is the same size, though is has a multi-touch screen and more.

This is because all the generations of iPod touches have the same charger slot so they all can fit in the iPod docks sold at Walmart or any other store where they carry them.
You can go on iTunes with your ipod touch and you can put on the same songs that were on your nano that is how i did mine though Yes, you can. You can use iPod 2 iPod, it can help you transfer song from iPod Nano to your iPod touch.
They already did- the Nano 6th generation is about the same size as a shuffle, but with a little touch screen. It is a Nano, but unfortunately it doesn't do any of the fun things that a 5th gen can do such as play videos or games.
