I'm not an expert, but I would contact a repair shop for advice. At the very least, I would stop using the laptop and put it in a well ventilated place in the hope that it will dry without incident. If you can open the computer without invalidating any active warranty, do so to help it dry out.

∙ 14y agoIf it was not plugged in or turned on and was only water, remove battery remove ram cover take out any drives Remove all covers on bottom of laptop, now take a hairdryer put on low setting make sure heat is only warm blow air through all openings for 10 to 15 minutes let sit in dry area with a fan blowing on it for a day. reassemble and try

∙ 14y agoI spilled milk on my laptop. What I did is turn it off, turn it on it's side, and for some reason plugged in the charger. The motherboard is broken but with the charger in it still works fine but without it doesn't. It might have been 1 quart of milk so save yourself and do what I did instead of losing $500 on repairs.
