The Shuttle XPC computers are great examples of modern Mini PCs, aka small form factor PC (SFF). It is very reliable and well designed as far as air flow and ease of access to internal components. You can buy their PC's "Barebones" (no CPU, Hard drive, or memory - just the case, motherboard and power supply are included) or as a complete unit. They look amazing and perform very well. Many other companies make case only solutions in the Micro and Mini ITX form factors. Finally IBM/Lenovo, Dell, HP, and Apple all make SFF computers, but the Shuttles have the greatest flexibility of components making them as cheap or expensive as you want.
