CTI is an acronym for Computer Telephony Integration. This is a type of software that allows users to manage their telephone accounts. Call centers across the globe use the software to manage calls. When a user calls a telephone system that is managed by CTI, the person will be greeted by an automated voice. The system then directs the user to the proper information using data stored in a database by requesting that the user interact either by voice or through a keypad. Credit card companies, utility companies and retailers use CTI for navigational purposes when providing customer service. Customers can check their balance, request a payoff, buy merchandise, or order tickets to a function.
