Don't stomp on the accelerator, because with no brakes you couldn't stop.

The main types of brakes are disc brakes, drum brakes, and regenerative brakes. Disc brakes use calipers to squeeze pads against a rotor to create friction and slow down the vehicle. Drum brakes use shoes to press against the inside of a drum to generate friction. Regenerative brakes convert kinetic energy into electrical energy to slow down the vehicle.
The power brakes are activated when you start the car. This is normal.
This is a mildy interesting question. However, it is very easy to answer. Conventional brakes are brakes that a car uses in order to slow down or stop. Conventional brakes are simply just called brakes.
Brakes typically take about 30 minutes to cool down after heavy use.
Centric brakes are brakes which grab the tire in the middle for slowing the vehicle down. Most brakes grab at the side which can lead to swerve on very rare occasions.
Press the brakes or down shift
Your brake master cylinder uses a vacuum assisted module to increase the hydraulic force on the brakes while reducing the amount of effort the driver has to put on the pedal. When you press down on the brakes, it employs this vacuum-powered diaphragm which "borrows" vacuum from the intake manifold. This initially causes a drop in manifold vacuum and thus you see this with a slight drop in idle speed. It's more pronounced on bigger engines, and prior to computer controls and fuel injection it was actually QUITE pronounced. Smaller engines with fuel injection and computer control do not see this byproduct as much.

The metering valve should be pressed down while bleeding the brakes. This is one of the steps to changing brakes.
