Power off and unplug the computer. Then you would remove the side panel by removing the screws securing it in place. You are now looking at the motherboard. Identify the proper slot, in many cases a Conventional PCI Expansion Slot, and plug in the NIC, making sure of proper orientation with ports facing the gap on the case for external connections. Once a proper and secure connection is ensured, you may place the side cover back on, secure back in place with screws, and plug the computer back in. Power on the computer, and install relevant drivers and software. You will now have a functional NIC.
