As TV sets and Computers use different and incompatible formats the only format you can get on a tv is the factory setting
Yes, when you rip a DVD you are just basically converting one file into another, leaving the original file on the DVD and creating a copy of that file in a different format on your computer. It does not erase the original file unless you have an erasable DVD disc and you choose to erase it.
That's not a Format, that's the torrent info...it's a DVD Rip (English) from the FXG Release Group.New to P2P are we...;)Ok, first you download the torrent file itself, it will be a small file, usually around 13Kb's. Now you need a Torrent Client, the program that will take the info from that torrent file and start downloading the real file you're trying to get. If you have one installed already, dbl-clicking on the torrent file should open the client and start the download, if not, open the client (Vuze, BitTorrent, Utorrent..etc), click File - Open and browse to the torrent file to start it.All that's contained in that little file you d'loaded already is the Tracker info, which tells the client where to get the files from (other users). The complete file will most likely be in the .avi format which most players can read easily. If it's in WMV or WMA (.wmv .wma) for a DVD rip, BE CAREFUL!!! That's usually a sign of a fake torrent with a viral component. It also could be in a WinRar format (.rar) which is a compression format that needs to be Uncompressed first, and you need WinRar to do that. It's not free but can be found for free if you know where to look...that's all I'm gonna say there.
Once you finish downloading the torrent file you must open the containing file of the folders. Inside their should be a movie file, such as AVI, Xvid, or other type of video file. In that case all you have to do is double click and watch. Some movie files require you to download plugins to play. ------------ Remember that you need a Bittorrent client to download .torrent format files. One of the best programs for that cause would be Utorrent, which can be downloaded for free from here: www.utorrent.com/download.php
because different formats play of different machines for example a mp3 will work on almost Anything but a wml might not work on cd or mp3 players and only other computers and stuff like that and other file types like ogg only work for games

You need to save a file in the format that is compatible with the application using the file. The primary benefit is that the file opens in the application. The primary problem with saving a file in a non-compatible format is that you will not be able to open the file in the application.
If a copied video file does not play on a laptop the player on the laptop might be worn out. It could also be the format of the DVD that the file was copied to might not be correct. If the DVD is a data DVD than the video file will not play.
You must get a micro sd chip, which fits in the slot on the side of the phone. The music file also has to be in mp3 format. Even so, I for one cannot play any music - even an mp3 file. The player "see's" the file, but when I hit 'play' it says "not supported format."
