it shows you what the field and the records are made of
Design View
Okay. The previous answer was Preview. I am currently in Microsoft Access class and the actual answer, trust me on this, is Design.
In Design View, when a new table is created, a primary key field is not automatically assigned; the user must specify which field(s) will serve as the primary key. By designating a primary key, the user ensures that each record in the table is unique and can be easily identified. This helps maintain data integrity and supports efficient data retrieval. Users can assign a primary key by selecting a field and using the designated option in the Design View settings.
A table is typically opened in a "Datasheet View" or "Table View" in database management systems like Microsoft Access or similar applications. This view presents the table's data in a grid format, allowing users to see and interact with the records and fields easily. Users can also switch to "Design View" to modify the table structure, such as changing field types or adding new fields.
While creating a table in the design view, every field has some specific features, called properties, associated with it.
in the Views group, click the Views arrow and click Design view

Design view.
You can do it in the Design Grid in Design View or you can do it through SQL view if you know how to use SQL.
In the design view of a query, report, page or form you can do it, but not in the design view of a table.
Design View
It will be added to the design grid when you double click a field list in Query Design View.
One of the views a form has is Design View. It is used when designing the form, so it does not show the actual data. There is also a view called Form View, which shows the data.
Design View is something you will find in Access, not Excel. See the related question below.
Design view.
A data sheet view shows the data in the database. It allows you to enter and edit the data, but you cannot change the format of the database. Design view allows you to create or change the table, form or any other database object.
In Microsoft Access, "print preview" is a valid report view, while "layout view" and "design view" are valid for forms and reports. However, "section view" is not a recognized term in this context. Therefore, "section view" is not a valid report view.
