USB cables with double A type connectors can, WiFi can be used either directly or indirectly via a router/hub. Serial cables can be used to do a direct transfer although it has a slow baud rate. You can use 2 network cables vis a hub, switch or router - you can also use a single network cable if its a crossover cable. You can use bluetooth, Infa-red or any other number of wireless mesiums. I've used an old parallel printer cable before!
Either way - you need 3 common elements to do a transfer:
- A physical connection - the hardware used to make the transfer
- A logical connection - a common language (or protocol) for the physical hardware to 'talk' with and
- An application connection. usually an operating system, FTP program, web browser, firmware - something to build and deconstruct the data sent over the connection
a hub
Switch networking is a term used to describe a small hardware device that joins multiple computers together by using a low level network protocol level.
This is the definition of a computer network. Devices such as routers and bridges create logical network subnets and network domains that computers, printers, and other devices can connect with to join the network.
In computer networking HUB is a small, simple, inexpensive device. Hubs are used to join multiple computer together.
The network device that connect multiple networks that use the same protocol is a ROUTER.
A router connects multiple computers together and transmits data to its correct destination on a network.
A small, simple, and inexpensive device that joins multiple computers together is a network switch. It allows multiple devices to communicate with each other within a local area network (LAN) by forwarding data packets to the appropriate devices based on their MAC addresses. Switches come in various sizes and port configurations, making them suitable for both home and small office environments. They are easy to set up and require minimal technical knowledge to operate.

A complex machine is a mechanical device that consists of multiple simple machines working together to perform a more complex task. Examples include cars, computers, and robots.
Switch networking is a term used to describe a small hardware device that joins multiple computers together by using a low level network protocol level.
A shared device is a computing or electronic device that is used by multiple individuals. These devices are typically found in public spaces, offices, or households where multiple people need access to the same technology. Examples include shared computers in libraries, tablets in schools, or smart TVs in common areas.
The compound noun for "key" could be "keychain," which refers to a small chain or ring used to hold multiple keys together. Another example is "keyboard," which combines "key" with "board" to refer to the device used for typing on computers.
