smart cellphone!!! ewan ko ba!!!
SmartCP is just a built-in function to contiue retrieving large files from the last point if your connection accidently gets cut off. This way you don't have to restart the download again and waste valuable time. This used to be done in software software protocols, but not every site supported it. Now it's built into the modem firmware. diba.
What is SmartCP?SmartCP in simple terms is a computer modem feature or function. Some modems have this function built directly into it's firmware. (i.e. "PCI Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP"). What SmartCP does:The purpose of SmartCP is to allow the modem to resume retrieving or downloading large files should the connection or download become interrupted and or disconnected. Instead of wasting valuable time downloading the portion you have received before the transfer was interrupted, SmartCP transparently continues the download from the last know good point. Anyone who has spent many hours or even days downloading a file only to find that they have been disconnected with only 99% of file received knows the thought of all time in anticipation going to waste makes SmartCP a welcome addition to the modem.SmartCP History:Prior to SmartCP less than successful attempts were made to solve the 'resume download' problem via software and software protocols. Lack of a proper industry standard meant that many sites, services and software packages were either incompatible with each other or did not support the option at all.
no
I would think it is safe to uninstall as it is only for sending and receiving faxes over the internet if set up.
