What is a Tandem isolator?

It is a isolator where the three pole phases are aligned digonally ie. all the pole phases are connected one behind another so that the jumpering can be done on the bus bar.

What is the difference between a serial port and a parallel port?

Parallel ports are easy to program and faster compared to the serial ports. But main disadvantage is it needs more number of transmission lines. Because of this reason parallel ports are not used in long distance communications. Let us know the basic difference between working of parallel port and serial port. In serial ports, there will be two data lines: One transmission and one receive line. To send a data in serial port, it has to be sent one bit after another with some extra bits like start bit, stop bit and parity bit to detect errors. But in parallel port, all the 8 bits of a byte will be sent to the port at a time and a indication will be sent in another line. There will be some data lines, some control and some handshaking lines in parallel port. If three bytes of data 01000101 10011100 10110011 is to be sent to the port, parallel port communication is faster then serial port.

Pathways that support communication among the various electronic components on the system board are called?

System Board constitutes of multiple components connected by Pathways called BUSES. (Three Types of BUSES are there: Address, Control & DATA)

What is the meaning of wye?

The wye is a type of power system where there are three current carrying legs making up the ends o the Y, a neutral current return leg and a solidly grounded to earth leg are connected at the middle of the Y. It is the most common type of power system and the most stable for multiple three phase and single phase loads. Another type of power system is a delta. Delta systems are more common in industrial settings with mostly three phase loads attached.

Advantages of twisted pair cable?

There are mainly three advantages: 1] less cost 2]data transfer rate is 100 mbps 3]it can support more length.

How many paths can electricity take in a parallel circuites have a battery and three light bulbs?

If each lamp is connected in parallel, then there are three 'paths' that draw current from the supply.

When three bulbs connected to a battery in parallel circuit what will happen to the brightness of the bulbs?

The brightness of three bulb would be mare than one

In which case will there be more current in each of three lamps- if they are connected to the same battery in series or in parallel?

more current will be in case of parallel because in series combination resistence is greater with respect to parallel combination

How should three 6 volt batteries be connected?

If you connect them in series it will result in an 18V battery. If you connect them in parallel you will have a 6V battery with more capacity than one alone.

Three identical bulbs are connected in series labeled A B and C to a battery which bulb is the brightest?

If three identical bulbs are connected in parallel to a battery, all three bulbs would have equal brightness.Kirchoff's voltage law states that the signed sum of the voltage drops around a series circuit is zero. A consequence of this is that, in a parallel circuit, the voltage across each parallel element is the same. There are effectively 6 series circuits in this example - battery and A - battery and B - battery and C - A and B - A and C - and B and C. These six combinations are also parallel circuits, and they are also in parallel with each other.

Three 15 ohm resistors are connected in parallel to a 30 volt battery What is the current through each branch of the circuit?

2 amps

Three identical resistors each 45 ohms are connected in parallel across a 60-V battery The current through or drawn from the battery is?

If 3 identical 45-ohm resistors are connected in parallel, the net effective resistance of the bunch ...and the load seen by the battery ... is 15 ohms. The current supplied by the battery is60/15 = 4 Amperes.(This assumes that the battery is capable of supplying 4 amps at 60 volts, or 240 watts !)

Three identical bulbs are connected in parallel across a 12-V battery If one of the bulbs were removed from its socket then the potential difference measured across the empty socket would be?

12V. Every resistor in a parallel circuit shares the same voltage. It is the current that gets divided.

Three more line segments connected so that the area is closed in?

Three identical bulbs are connected in parallel with a battery of 6A If one of the bulb gets fused what will be the total current drawn from the battery?

As the lamps are identical, and all three draw a current of 6 A, then each lamp must be drawing 2 A. So, with one of the lamps disconnected, the current drawn from the supply will reduce to 4 A.

If one of the three lamps blows out when connected in parallel what happens to the current in the other two?

Nothing

If one of three lamps blows out when connected in parallel what happens to the current in the other two?

If three lamps are connected in parallel and one blows out, the current in the other two does not change. This assumes that the net change in total current does not cause the power source to change voltage.
