How is a single-session disc different from a multisession disc?

A single-session disc (CD-ROM-Read-Only Memory) can read but not write (record) or erase. Manufacturers write all items on the single-session disc at one time, and multisession disc (CD-RW-Compact Disc-Rewritable) is an erasable disc you can write on multiple times.

Is there a way to play computer games without the disc by saving the contents of the disc?

Depending on the size of the game, you may be able to play just by launching the game's executable directly from the disc. There is however a possibility of compromised performance if you do.

What does defrag do?

Defrag simply compacts and organizes files and folders on your hard drive. The problem arises because of the way data is stored on the hard drive. When you delete a file, all you are doing is removing the index, of where the data is really stored. When you then save stuff, reference is made to the index, to find out where the free areas are, on the disc. Use is made of all the free areas on the disc. The free spaces may be smaller than the new file being stored. So the file is broken up and parts of it located all over the physical drive, blotting up the free space. Over time, your drive is full of fragmented files and the drive has to work harder and longer to find all pieces of file, slowing it down. 'Defrag' locates all pieces of broken files and writes them to a fresh area of the disc, so that they are located in one 'contiguous' physical space. It then clears the disc where they were located. Once enough clear area is provided the whole files are then relocated into the space in such a manner as to keep all relevant files close together and so speed up the access time of the hard drive.

Hii have vista home prem-i have no clue how to put photos or even my resume on a CD-is there a FREE tiny program that will do this thanks?

All versions of Vista allow you to easily place photos on a writeable disc. Here are several steps to follow in order to place these files on a CD or DVD of your choosing.1. Insert a writeable disc into your PC's writeable CD or DVD drive.2. A dialog box should appear. In that box, click on Burn files to data disc.3. Another dialog box should open, allowing you to create a name for your disc. Type the name in, then click next.4. After several moments, an empty disc box should appear. Simply select the files you would like to copy onto the disc and drag them into the empty folder.5. As you place the files in the empty disc folder, they are then copied to the disc.

Is a bulging Disc a herniated disc?

No. A bulging disc is a disc that has mildly or severely (depending on what the diagnostics prove) buldged from the intervertebral space. This means that the nucleus inside the disc is intact and still within the disc space, but the disc itself has bulged outward. A herniated disc is the same thing as a ruptured disc in which case the nucleus has exited the intervertebral space and the two vetrebrae are essentially "bone on bone". A bulging disc occurs more often as we age or as repetitive activities weaken the the disc. Herniated discs are more often specifically related to trauma/injury sustained and are more acute (sudden) in onset.

Why L5 S1 intervertebral disc space is reduced?

A reduced L5-S1 intervertebral disc space can result from several factors, including degenerative disc disease, which involves the breakdown of the disc's cartilage and loss of hydration, leading to a decrease in disc height. Additionally, herniation or bulging of the disc can compress the space between the vertebrae. Other contributing factors may include age-related changes, trauma, or repetitive stress on the lumbar spine. These changes can lead to pain, reduced mobility, and other complications.

How much space does a backup disc for Windows take up?

A backup disc is usually not used for Windows itself or applications, but for personal data. Thus the amount of space needed depends entirely on how much space your files take up.
