- Colossus - roughly 5000 enciphered characters per second

Old:
You would have to type a line of code to move to the directory 'my documents' then you would have to type another line of code to locate the file 'myfile.doc' then type another to delete it.
New:
All you need to do now is click on 'my documents' right - click on the file 'myfile.doc' and click on delete.
So as you can identify from this, old computers were very slow!
