Layer 2 of the OSI model provides error-detection capability
Network Layer
Transport layer is the fourth layer in the OSI model. Transport layer is responsible for process to process delivery of entire message. Other than that it also control connection, flow of data and error , thus will resend the packet if it get lost in between.
osi modal is deovaped by iso company it has 7 layers but ATM modal has a 4 layers osi modal have a physical layer,datalink layer,network layer, trasport layer, session layer, perastion layer, application layer, but
it comes in the first layer, or popularly known as the physical layer. must not be confused to be in datalink layer.
Hubs and repeaters operate at the Physical Layer of the OSI Model. The Physical Layer is the first layer of the OSI Model.

The Transport Layer and Data Layer can provide error detection and correction at the different levels of data transmission. Network layer can also correct errors if it detects them.
