To delete files on a Garmin Nuvi, connect the device to your computer using a USB cable. Then, navigate to the Files section on the device's storage and locate the file you want to delete. Right-click on the file and select the delete option to remove it from the device.

Go in the device manager, locate ir port, double click on, in the "Device usage" choose "Do not use this device".
Locate the red stripe on the cable and connect to the device with the red stripe lining up to pin #1 and If there is also no red stripe locate the blue stripe on the cable and connect to the device with the blue stripe lining up to pin #1
