Weapons were created to protect, therefore this is the main use of weapons. we now rely on weapons to protect the entire world. if someone was to attack our homes we have the ability to defend ourselves with weapons. yet, weapons cause death and i believe it will lead to the eventual downfall of society. mostly anyone can get their hands on weapons. we can control the sale of weapons but we do not have the ability to control peoples minds. the consumer may use any weapon as they desire.... the advancement of any weapon causes more dependability in a weapon and more death from it as well.

for Halo 1,2,3 i would say the shotgun,sniper,sniper This is of course, is a matter of opinion, and personal experience. Situation and location are two important factors to consider when using certain weapons. If one is in an open area, mid-range weapons such as a Battle Rifle, can be useful, unless the open area is large, then the sniper may be more appropriate. If one is within a smaller, enclosed area, closer range weapons are more effective, such as the Shotgun or Assault Rifle. Unfortunately, the AR is undermined because players don't know how to properly use it. If you see a player at a near mid-range distance, use bursts instead of unloading on them. Because you use bursts, the gun will fire more accurately and thus kill the opponent much faster. This can be easily tested and practiced. It should only take a single clip of the AR to kill an opponent at almost any range, unless its over long range. Although, since this is a matter of opinion, I will give mine. I believe the Battle Rifle is the most useful weapon in the game. It compliments many weapons and provides strength and speed. For those who know how to use it would most likely agree.
