When signing up for evony what building lets you upgrade technology?

I have tried Academy, but nope, then tried Keep, but again not right....
It is like they are trying not to let you register an account, or something.
Anyway, I need to find out where the gold I purchased from them is in the game, and they have no way to contact them for help.
Are they ignorant, or something?? Because it seems they cannot make a functioning website for some reason. What a RIP, I guess they just get to steal my money, and get away clean then!!

all you gotta do is upgrade youre town hall

This is not possible in one city. Only if you have 2 city's you can do 2 building upgrades (each city one upgrade at the time)

you research technologies by accessing the academy of your town. Each Technology have building and resource pre requisites.

In order to get soldiers in Evony, you have to create a building called a Barracks in your city. Then as you gradually upgrade the level of this Barracks, more types of soldiers that are, in some cases, stronger and more effective, become available. Hope this helped!
