Why would the windows on a '97 Grand Am GT stop working?

check the fuse and then check the window shitch The basic answer is that GarandAm design is driven one goal, "production cost", and cost of components such as window motors is an important part of the total cost. So they are cheap. This is further enhanced by the profit the manufacturer derives from selling the cheap replacement parts for high profit. My 97 GrandAm has two power windows and each has had the window motor replaced once and now another has stopped working. Buy a brand of auto which has a durability/reliability as a design goal. Consumers report can help identify those brands.

88' Mazda rx7 2nd gen will not start it floods itself and the engine turns over but does not fire and lastly where is the power supply to the fuel pump?

the fuel pump is on the left side of the motor and is low in the engine bay its a black circle. but what you need to do is pull out the main comp fuse in the engine bay its the second one down and crank over the motor for ten seconds to clean out the fuel. Then put it back in and crank it over and it should fire. Then get a fuel cut off shitch installed from a rotary shop like jerries little cars 253 854 9601 :) Patrick check the amps on your battery rotory motors require at least 325. but it is better to have a battery that has higher

What if the Wipers wont turn off after turned on in a 1987 brougham?

Guess you'll have to buy articulating eyeballs. I had this problem in a Buick of about same age. In the Buick, a connector swipes a metal surface within the motor, and at the end of each round "swipe" there is a small connector that turns the "return" circuit on if the wiper shitch has been turned off. In my Buick, the years of use had worn this piece off and the sliding connector couldn't "find" it. The fix is not easy; to take the motor apart and to use a soldering iron to build a new piece of connection, small enough so it doesn't cause other problems. This is a "farmer's fix"; these things are not MADE repairable... so it is a safer bet to buy a new motor (I don't know if this connector system can be bought separately).
