Some people have reported that watches they wear will invariably break. While many claim this happens regardless of watch, analog watches appear to be the most frequent source of complaint. Some forum posters have claimed this is due to personal EM fields.

The wide range of claims makes it impossible to address every case, but in general, static electricity is more to blame than latent mutant powers. Individuals, due to a combination of clothing, shoes, carpet selection, walking habits, climate, or any number of other factors, can build up a small static charge. This charge is usually small enough to not be felt, but can discharge through the watch, damaging small sensitive parts.

What are the people who stop watches called?

They are called ""watch stoppers". I am one, and have discovered that it's more common than people think. Watch stoppers can also stop batteries in other things if held for long periods of time like hand-held wireless microphones, flashlights, etc. I was even researching this online many years ago and discovered a website by a doctor (or maybe he was a psychologist?) that was studying near-death and out-of-body experiences. He noted that over 25% of his patients could not wear a watch after their out-of-body experience. Interesting stuff. Elaine

Why do some people cause computers and electronic objects to malfunction People who can't wear watches for example because they lose time or stop altogether?

This is not yet proved. but it is widely reported. It is due to static electricity in some people. Some can improve performance some can spoil the electronic device. Some theories state that it is something with the persons mind. Some say with the soul. Some things have no proper answer your question is one of them. In my personal opinion it is the soul or some thing with the soul may be evil may be good. Some people only think for repairing a computer and it gets repaired some what by it self as in the case with my friend. May be GOD helps him or gifted him. Actually, the people who have this condition are called Electric People. I know because I am one of them. I not only stop watches but also can run them backwards. I'm also repairing my computer constantly due to this condition. Everyone has had to deal with static electricity at one time or another. Its better referred to as 'net electric charge'. Everything is made up of atoms and atoms are made up of positive and negative electric charges. Our bodies are no different. Our bodies are made up of a combination of positive and negative electrical particles When there is an imbalance of these charges which can be caused by any type of friction in that space, a shock occurs. An example is when we walk across a rug or certain kinds of flooring and then touch a metal object we get a shock. There are humans who develop high voltage in and on their bodies. This is a mystery that has not been solved yet but it does exist in a rare amount of people. They get shocked and suffer continuously with this condition. For the majority of people, they will only get shocked if they happen to walk across the rug at low humidity and the atoms are imbalanced perfectly for them to feel a shock when they touch a metal object or another human. But 'Electric Humans' as they are referred to create the atmosphere for being shocked all the time no matter the season, the humidity levels or the rug, etc. They don't even need the contact point to feel the shock because they are electrified all the time all by themselves without having to rely on a friction point to get a shock. They seem to radiate these annoying sparks all the time. This is why when they wear electric watches or get near computers or other electrical equipment, they do damage to them and can even stop them permanently Constant electrostatic charges given off by Electric Humans will destroy any electrical appliance after a period of time. If you are an Electric Human, I suggest you purchase a mechanical watch rather than an electric one and also watch for appliances with a microprocessor in them. There is no cure for Electric Humans at this time. Most people don't even believe they exist but in actuality, they do and their condition is a real one.

What hand do you wear a watch on?

Originally people had to wind their watch each day. Watches were designed so that they could be wound by the watch stem with the right hand. Most people wore their watches on their left wrists to make it easier to wind the watch with their right hand. With improvements in watches such as batteries and self-winding watches, the stem has become a way to set the watch, but is no longer needed for winding the watch each day. It has become more of a personal preference as to which hand to wear the watch on. Right handed people tend to wear their watches on their left wrist to avoid interference with activities such as hand writing, etc., where as left handed people tend to wear their watches on their right wrists, for the same reasons.
