The components are usually insulated so the processor can stay pretty cool for a while
the processor and hard drive. you wouldn't want a small shock to destroy your components do you?
The six components that are found inside the case of a computer are; Drive Bays- which is a standard-sized area for adding hardware to a computer, Power Supply- Which is a device that supplies electrical energy to one or more electric loads, Case fan- Which is any fan inside, or attached to, a computer case used for cooling purposes, Video Card- Which is an expansion card which function is to generate output images to a display, Modem- Which is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information, and a Sound Card- Which is an internal computer expansion card that sends the input and output of audio signals to and from a computer.
A computer case by itself is not a peripheral as such, nor is it an input or output device. It is just the cabinet that contains the computer system. That said, the components inside fill all of those roles. The case contains the motherboard which is about output, input, and processing.
In the case of a desktop computer a power supply that in turn plugs into a household outlet provides power to the internal components of the computer. In the case of a laptop or tablet a battery provides power.
That would be the motherboard. The processor is plugged into the motherboard, and the motherboard is mounted in the case.
There are about ten main computer components. These include the case and the power supply. There is also the motherboard and the hard drive. Also there is a processor.

A computer fan is any fan inside, or attached to, a computer case used for active cooling. Hope its helps :)
System unit refers to the housing plus the components inside the box. While a computer case is just a 'case' itself w/o the hardware components attached to it.
Because of energy and the different components

The case protects the delicate computer components inside it from outside objects that might have otherwise come in contact with it.

Case
Computer hardware consists of the physical components of a computer; excluding all software and programming. Computer hardware is your case, hard drive, motherboard, processor, RAM, optical drives, etc., etc..
It is important because it helps to prevent overheating inside your case. A processor runs very hot, A video card runs hot. That's why there are usually some fans inside the case. Although they do help it's best to maximize the cooling inside your computer. The lower temperature it operates at the more you can push it. I run my case open aired, maybe that's a step too far but it does help. Airflow is VERY important though, don't unplug your fans unless you want your components to overheat! There are some extra cooling fans you can buy at fry's or other computer components stores, called PCI fans. They boost the cooling a a little, that should help.
