Most desktop computers don't have the Transformers located in the power cord themselves. The location of a transformer in a regular desktop computer is inside a component called the 'Power Supply Unit' (or PSU). The PSU is the part of the computer that the cord plugs into, and it typically has a fan to provide cooling to itself. It is due to this nature that you can typically swap out the 3-pronged computer or monitor cords without much concern.
Notebook computers, on the other hand, have their transformers located outside of the computer body, and embedded into the power cord. There are a multitude of practical reasons for this.
1) Notebooks can get very hot. Heat can degrade the performance of the transformer, causing it to output less wattage than it normally would and degrade its life span. And the heat that the transformer can generate can also degrade the performance and lifespan of the notebook.
2) The transformer is typically very big and would not fit inside of a notebook without making it very large.
3) Power transformers have a fairly high rate of failure (compared to some other parts), so their easily replacable nature makes it a good idea to keep it on the outside.
The same thing they are made of now. Plastic or rubber and copper wires.

Power supplies have fuses. The motherboards do not.
The difference between network provider and service provider is how they relate to the rest of a group of computers. A network provider serves as the host computer where the computers are all in the same location. A server is the provider for computers that are not in the same location.

Yes all Acer power cords are interchangeable and can be used for all Acers. all computers or electric cords will fit into the same brands most are interchangeable.
Single phase transformers typically are used to step voltage down to homes, and inside homes. Some examples of small single phase transformers are small electronic (such as phones) power cords.
Power transformers can be used for power transformation. Voltage transformers are not suitable for high power applications.
light bulbs, power cords, computers, electronic cars, TVs, almost everything
Yes, of course they are insulated. If they were not the signals would short out and be unusable. If electric power cords were not insulated they would short out and blow the breaker (or worse start a fire)!
The type of transformers that are made by Hammond are the Power Distribution Systems. These Power Distribution Systems are dry-type power transformers.
There are Several types of transformers are there in that some are listed below. Instrument Transformers Step Up and Step Down Transformers Single Phase Transformers Power Transformers Distribution Transformers etc. For more visit transcon industries.
Almost any store that carries electronic equipment such as computers will carry usb cords. Walmart, Target ect. It is best to let the clerk know exactly what the cord is going to be used for in order to get the correct one.
Power transformers are step-up or step-down transformers used in the electricity transmission system, whereas distribution transformers are step-down transformers used in the electricity distribution system.
It depends on what cords your need. Certain power cords can be split with a female/ 2 male adapter that you could find at Tigerdirect.com or Newegg.com, wherever you shop. You can split molex and sata power cords for sure, i know that, but for anything else, just give a look for PSU splitters in one of those shops.
Instrumental transformers are potential transformers and current transformers, they are used to measuring and protecting purposes at power systems
Laptop power cords can be ordered from the manufacturer. If the laptop is still under warranty, there should be no charge. There are also sites online that carry cords for multiple manufacturers.
