The thalamus is the part of the brain that controls arousal. Coincidentally, it is adjacent to the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that is responsible for bodily functions. It is not uncommon for the "wires" as one would say to get crossed resulting in one being aroused by acts related to bodily functions.
