So many people do not know how the modern computer began because they are more interested in using electronic devices than knowing their history.

Who wants to return to Boolean algebra? Who cares about plugging wires in a board? Who wants paper tape? No one wants punch cards. An early computer with a 16K memory limit now seems ridiculous. Now instead of thousands, then millions, it went to billions and then trillions.

Most people do not care. They want it to work!

Probably because - you don't need to know the full history of computer evolution in order to operate one !
