Information is data that a person can understand. When a computer converts data into information, it provides a context, makes it meaningful, focuses attention, and provides an interpretation. Without that, data is pretty much useless. For example the name 'Jon' is pretty useless to you unless you know something abut who that refers to. That's data. It turns out that my name if 'Jon'. Now you have context for the name 'Jon'. 'Jon' is the person who wrote this answer. Now you have information.

The information age was brought about by the need to process data at a higher speed and more conveniently. The onset of the information age was marked by the Digital Revolution.
Computer data processing is any computering process that converts datas into information or knowledge. The processing is usually assumed to be automated and running on a computer. Because datas are most useful when well-presented and actually informative, data-processing systems are often referred to as information systems to emphasize their practicality. Nevertheless, the terms are roughly synonymous, performing similar conversions; data-processing systems typically manipulate raw data into information, and likewise information systems typically take raw data as input to produce information as output.Data can be seen as a raw material, which be later coverted to information. i.e For a company that wants to produce bornvita, such company will need to make use of cocoa,which means that cocoa is the raw material for the production of borntiva, likewise data is the raw material for information. Data has to pass through a specific process before it could be changed to information, and it is called a process.Data processing most often refers to computer processes that convert data into information or knowledge. Data processingmay also refer to: * Information processing; the change (processing) of information in any manner detectable by an observer. * Data analysis; processing data with the goal of highlighting, drawing conclusions, and supporting decision making. * Data entry done by a data entry clerk.
Information Technology, otherwise known as I.T is useful for people who will need to use office programs at their future job. However it doesn't always explain what is in a computer like computing.
Because Computer can Store & Present, Vast & Huge Collection of Information as DATA. But infact Computer is not a source of Information rather a Processor of Information - and stores processed results as DATA. Yes it becomes a storehouse of Information when it connects & have access to Large Storage Mediums & Internet.
input
You can back up information from your computer onto a flash or jump drive. This will provide faster data recovery if you need to restore information from your computer.
Data acquisition systems are devices that change information and signals into a format that can be processed and used by a computer. These systems are used by companies that need to process large amounts of real world information and data.

That's what computers were designed to do...process data...make our live simpler.
Before a computer can process your data, you need some method toinputthe data into the machine. The device you use will depend on what form this data takes (be it text, sound, artwork, etc.).Similarly, after the computer has processed your data, you often need to produceoutputof the results. This output could be a display on the computer screen,hardcopyon printed pages, or even the audio playback of music you composed on the computer.
The process is so Simple Input the Data and Store it in the RAM (primary Memory) send to Processor for Calculation /Manipulation if the Data Need to Save in Secondary Send to Hard Disk otherwise Print or Execute through Monitor. Computer processing cycle Computer processing cycle the stages in which the computer uses to process data that that has been sent into the computer by the input and some of these devices are the keyboard, mouse etc. After this stage the data has to be processed , so the data goes into the micro processor to be processed into information. When the data is produced or processed, it has to come out , so it is brought out through the output devices like printer and the monitor. After that it has to be stored ,so it can be stored in devices like CD ROM, pendrives and even the computer memory{hard-disk}

"Organized" means similar data will be grouped together on the hard drive. This can be done by de fragmenting your hard drive. This is essential because an HDD can process only so fast... if all similar information is grouped together, it knows where to find it and doesn't need to spin extra rotations to find data.

We use the computer in the first place to manipulate data, so obviously you need a way to put the data - in comes the input device. Now the input data has to be processed in the desired format - in comes the Central Processing Unit. Finally you need a means to get back your processed data which is now meaningful information - so we use an output device. All the devices are related to each other during the entire process of using a computer. Without any one of these we cannot use the computer to its optimum.
