It is important to try and continuously imrpove your work because then you will get recognised for your efforts. Once you have done a really good job of a task, then you can start to learn other things and improve on your tasks and duties. When you have proved yourself, in which you can do your tasks and duties to an advanced level, then you can ask for a pay rise or a promotion
