touch screen
An external monitor - will prove that the device is actually working (and it's just the display that's at fault).
It will be blank..nothing is saved to your moniter.
An LCD monitor can go blank for several reasons. They include a loose cable, a weak input signal, an issue with the video card or a driver needs to be updated.
If you hear one beep during boot and see a blank screen, it typically indicates that the system is completing a POST (Power-On Self-Test) successfully, which suggests that the hardware is likely functioning properly. However, the blank screen may indicate an issue with the monitor itself, the video cable, or the graphics card. To troubleshoot, check the connections, test the monitor with another device, or try a different video output. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, further investigation into the graphics card or motherboard may be necessary.

Try this, find another computer and hook the monitor onto it, see if it's blank then. What to do:1) If the monitor is not blank then your other computer probably needs a video driver (need help on this? ask another question and I will try to answer you) ORYour graphics card might be burnt out and you might need to purchase a new one.2) If the monitor is still blank, try to obtain another vga cable(the blue plug thing), if still blank go buy a new monitor**Hope this helps would be able to help you better if i know any previous symptoms or was there next to your computer. Good luck!
