In a sense, no! The SanDisk Corporation, is an American multinational corporation that designs and manufactures flash memory card products. San Disk is a name brand for that Product.
The Flash Drive is also known as:
Memory Stick
Flash Drive
Flash Stick
Thumb Drive
Usb Stick
Usb Drive
Jump Drive
Pen Drive
Alright USB is Universal Serial Bus wich is used to connect devices to your comptuer. Now a thumb drive is a very small device that has a varitey of the ammount of storage they can hold. Now Flash Drive sometimes reffered to as Thumb Drive is really fast but cost more and holds less. Now USB hard drives are slow transfer rate but the thumb drive plugs into a USB so im not sure what exactly you mean. Hope this helped :)
"Yes, a thumb drive connects to your computer via the USB port. It is essentially the same as a flash drive as it acts as an external storage device."
Yes, USB key and flash are just different words for it
No, an external disk drive and a flash drive are not the same. An external disk drive typically refers to a device that uses spinning disks, like a hard disk drive (HDD) or a solid-state drive (SSD), and connects to a computer via USB or other ports. In contrast, a flash drive, often called a USB drive or thumb drive, uses flash memory for storage and is usually smaller and more portable. While both serve as storage solutions, their mechanisms and typical uses differ.
No, but you can download it to a jump drive. Or is it the same thing?Oh well, just stick with jump drive. :)
They both mean the same. Actually a flash drive also called as a pen drive is an USB device ( Universal serial bus). This is called so because, the flash drives are attached with the computer at the USB port.
When you get a compact flash drive, you can probably get a generic one and have the same results as if you bought a more expensive drive. Flash memory technology is not a very difficult thing to create. All companies can do it at the same high level. If you buy a drive that is more expensive, you are probably just paying the extra money because people will recognize the brand name on the drive.
the diffferance is in the name
You can write to a flash drive and read data from the flash drive. It acts the same as a miniature hard drive, just like the one on your computer. It uses flash memory, hence the name flash drive.
No.A Zip drive was a product made by iOmega, which was similar to a "Super floppy". A removable storage that held either 100MB or 250MB (on later models).
There is no way to play Minecraft off of a flash drive but you can transfer it to a computer with no internet by copying the .minecraft folder ( located in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming) and the .exe on to a flash drive then dragging those files onto the destination computer in the same location. THis is the closest thing to playing it off a flash drive.
Nope, however they have many feature that are the same.
