Bats and Rats are related in many ways. One way is how their faces are constructed. They both have long snouts and pointy ears. Another reason is the word bat in another language means mouse. Bats are also called flying rodents or flying mice. The difference is that bats have wings unlike rats.

No, bats are not at all tightly related to mice, that is, to rodents. Even we monkeys are slightly more related to rodents than they are. In fact, bats belong to the large evolutionary "sector" of placental mammals called "Laurasiatheria", and are one of the two main branches of that "sector".

In other words, bats are more related to the animal of the other branche of that evolutionary "sector" - such as: cats, goats, horses, pangolins - than they are to mice or squirrels (rodents).
