Yes they are. Enjoy!!! Oh here is a list of prohibited items: Laptop - No Problem. I always bring mine. No problems with my palm pilot either. Although, they do like to inspect them. Their concern is radio Frequency as the police use very rudimentary technology and it would be very easy to tap into their communications. Hence no two way radios.
