yes both sensors are the same .before an after the cat, converter do to the length on the one in the back you have to use the same one.
Unless the catalytic converter is actually clogged (which it probably isn't, or you'd know it), you won't gain anything except a check engine light which won't go away.
I would not touch it except to install a converter.
Look on the exhaust manifold. The number of sensors (yes, many cars have 2, 3, or 4) and their location varies with model year, car model, and engine. If you want an exact answer, browse these pages by make and model or post a new question with the specifics. you will find the oxygen sensor(s) on the exhaust system. there may be more than one. usually before the catalytic converter and one after. all models except 5.9l v8 models with 2wd are equipped with two o2 sensors. One o2 sensor is located in the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter and one o2 sensor located after the catalytic converter. The 5.9l v8 2wd has 4 sensors. Two upstream sensors( one for each cylinder bank),one is a precatalytic sensor and the fourth sensor is after the catalytic converter.
Yes, you can put a comma before except. Example of a comma before except in a sentence- She can do it, except that the mountain is too steep
timing is off check it
It means that the engine management system has detected a problem with the engine control system. There are numerous sensors looking at how the engine is performing. It takes an electronic device that plugs into the engine computer to read the code. I believe the dealers are charging at least $80 to even hook the car to their machine. The DIY days are over except for changing oil and filters and a few other things.
if their is a co2 sencor behind the converter you will have to progam the computer to except it not sure how that is done but you can do it if their is no co2 sencor behind the converter then you should be able to just take it off and replace it with staight pipe good luck
The rule is "I before E except after C, or when sounded like A as in neighbor and weigh."
I have a 98 with the 4 cyl and most of the exaust is cheap except the first part which includes the Converter and holes for O2 sensors. I am in Canada and was quoted $800 for this section, and $300 for the rest of the exaust, which includes the intermediate resonater and muffler. I also know that the 6 cyl is ridiculously priced as well
it's I before E except after C .
Yes. They are the same, except for horsepower ratings.
