(This is a very simple thing actually)

1. Find the video on YouTube and copy the URL

2. Open up vixy.net

3. Select the type of format of the file

4. Paste the URL into the yellow bar and press start

5. it will then resolve the video and it then downloads it

6. Play the video

7. There you go

Officially, no; and YouTube doesn't offer anything on-the-record to.

There are, however, many ways to do so, unofficially...simply run a Google search for "YouTube download" and watch the results spout up.

My favorite method, though, is finding the cache of your web browser (the place where it stores files temporarily for its use - including YouTube videos) (you may find this so-called "cache" by typing "about:cache" into Firefox's URL bar - not sure about Chrome and others), loading the YouTube video, and look for the growing file in the cache. After you find the file, you wait for it to finish loading, then you copy it elsewhere for easier access. Done.
