Hey,
I have Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator MX 2004 running on Vista Ultimate 32-bit with a few issues, but all in all it works well.
Needed to run Dreamweaver as Administrator, and had to run every application in the studio in compatabiliy mode for XP SP2. Fireworks also required that I disabled visual styles.
All the options you need should be in the compatability tab in Vista when you view the properties of the main executable files (ie Flash.exe).
Cheers,
Dan Ward (www.dan-ward.net).

If you right click -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Top drop down Run as XP SP3 Then it does, or at least my version did.
Yes, you can install Macromedia Studio MX under Windows 7. It's a little buggy, but it will work fine. A few things to note: - In my system, every time I start one of the applications, it makes me approve itin a security alert, which gets a little tiresome. - Fireworks forces the system to revert to Windows 7 Basic (for display), which is just annoying if you only want to open it quickly. You also can't drag and drop files into the window, which is frustrating for import and opening files. But, if you can deal with that, yes, it all works!

The only thing I can think of is that the game is simply too old and now incompatible with Windows Vista. (It came out in 2004) The game is compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP.
