It's possible if you were to download a customized ROM (ex: Cyanogenmod), which is typically stock Android OS. However, if you are to do this, proceed with caution. Rooting and flashing a customized ROM, especially on a phone that had an entirely different OS, has risks. If not done properly, you may "brick" your phone, making it unusable. Also, if the phone has a warranty, putting in a customized ROM will void that. I would strongly suggest reading up thoroughly through the different developer forums (ex: XDA-Developers) before proceeding on your own.
