If you have spina bifida, congenital deformation of the vertebrae, or muscular dystrophy, those conditions can lead to scoliosis. Over 80% of scoliosis cases are idiopathic though, which means that know one really knows why some people develop scoliosis. You're more likely to get idiopathic scoliosis if you have a familiar member with scoliosis.
the answer to this question depends on how serious your scoliosis is and how your going to treat it, i would say it probably wouldn't be but if you have had the operation like i have it might well be, i am now unable to bend down and touch my toes without bending my knees wheras before i could limbo, go into a crab and put my feet behind my head
Of course they can!
I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11 and went to the doctor every 6 months. When I was 13 I was told that the curve was only 8. If the curve is 10 degrees and under then you are OK and your scoliosis has basically gone away. So to answer your question scoliosis does go away.

Scoliosis is really an opinion on if it is rare or common. I can answer that 2-3% of people HAVE curves of over 20*, i have scoliosis...so i find it pretty common that 2-3 percent have it...but i think that more people should know what it is.
