No RAM is not.
Open source products such as memtest86 found here http://www.memtest86.com actually overwrite RAM and then checks it for inconsistencies to see if memory is bad.
To answer this question adequately, one must understand that information (on "computer chips", such as RAM, anyways) is kept using electrical charges, which are usually held in place by a battery of some sort. RAM does not have a battery, so it can only keep information until you turn off and/or unplug the computer. Also, since RAM is somewhat limited in size, it can only keep information until it is overwritten with new information. So if you do not turn off your computer, the time which it takes for the information on RAM to be overwritten (removed) will depend on A:the time you leave your computer on,B:your operating system (and the amount of background activity associated with it)C:how much stuff you do on your computer in any given time, andD: the amount of RAM you have in your computer.
You can't. If the document has been overwritten then the old version no longer exists. This is why backups are done.
Static RAM is the RAM that usually is not part of the main memory, and it tends to be more expensive. When you shut off your computer, static RAM will erase everything from its memory. This kind of RAM can make a good extra for basic computer tasks, but shouldn't be used for things like gaming. Dynamic RAM is the main memory that's moslty found INSIDE your computer. It can store considerably more info that Static RAM. It keeps its data because it's constatly being overwritten. It's also cheaper. Nowadays, people use SDRAM though. It's much more advanced than SRAM or DRAM separately.
Recovering Windows after it has been overwritten can be very challenging and often impossible, depending on the extent of the overwrite. If only part of the data has been overwritten, data recovery software might be able to retrieve some files. However, if the entire partition has been overwritten, recovery chances diminish significantly. Regular backups are crucial for preventing data loss in such situations.

If you have overwritten a document you can not restore it.
If it had been simply deleted, then possibly. If the save data has been overwritten, then absolutely not. There is no redundancy, your previous game is unrecoverable.
No, a DVD is not considered volatile. Volatile memory refers to storage that requires power to maintain the stored information, such as RAM. In contrast, DVDs are optical discs that store data permanently until they are physically damaged or overwritten, making them non-volatile storage media.

If there is something in the cell, it will be overwritten by what is being typed in.
It depends on the type of disc. If the disc is a CD-R or a DVD-R the info on the disc can not be overwritten once something is burned to it. However CD-RW and DVD-RW can be overwritten.
