True.
The system requirements to installing a virtual Windows machine on a computer are simple - Any 64bit processor, at least 2Gb of free memory and 750Mb of free hard disk space.
No, I do not think so.
If your computer is 64bit capable then if you buy, say, Windows 7 and it has BOTH 32 bit and 64 bit versions on it then yes it's free. You would have to contact Microsoft to see if you would have to pay to upgrade from a 32bit version W7 to a 64bit version. You have to find out if the computer is capable of supporting a 64bit OS. if it isn't then you'll have to buy a new computer or replace the mother board and you would still have to have a 64bit OS to use it to it's full potential.Apple's MacOS and computers from 2006 up are already 64 bit capable.

Windows Vista requires 512 MB of RAM and 15 GB of free hard drive space (can be crammed into 9 after installation). Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) requires 512 MB of RAM and 9 GB of free hard drive space. Ubuntu Linux 8.04 requires 512 MB of RAM to boot from a LiveCD, but will install on as little as 64 MB. 384 MB is the recommended minimum. 8 GB of free hard drive space is recommended, but as little as 4 GB is usable.
If you are inquiring about the software that actually runs the web server, there are many solutions available. Apache is the most popular web server in the world. It is designed to provide a large number of features and scale across large and powerful servers, though it can even be run on a reasonable home desktop. Apache is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. Lightppd is a fast and lightweight web server. Many sites, such as Wikipedia and YouTube, use it to serve files to users. It supports most of the features of Apache, but consumes less than half as much RAM. Lighttpd is available for Windows, mac OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. IIS is a web server designed and developed by Microsoft, and is the second-most popular web server on the internet in terms of usage. It is designed to integrate with proprietary Windows features like ASP and .NET. IIS is only available for Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008. It is not included with XP Home, but can be installed through an unofficial workaround.
