You need 600dpi or better, so it's no small errand for MFPs though they may have a mode which is capable; scan the pattern at better than 1200dpi and look at the size of the file you'd have to transfer! ...or, determine how to reduce the data (and use a laser printer at 600 to 1600dpi if that's the easiest way to transfer the algorithm or do postscript striping.)

There are so many ways to reduce paper waste. You can adopt a double sided paper policy, set computer defaults to print double sided, print only pages you need, print envelops without labels, use standard forms.
