Yes, you can use existing memory modules to upgrade to the maximum supported memory, provided that the new modules are compatible with your system's specifications. It's important to check the motherboard’s documentation for supported RAM types, speeds, and configurations. However, mixing different brands or speeds may lead to instability or reduced performance, so it's often best to use matched pairs. Always ensure that the total memory configuration adheres to the limits set by the manufacturer.
Very unlikely. The amount of RAM that is supported is determined by the chipset, not the BIOS.
You can replace the internal harddisk with a higher capacity one and you might be able to expand the memory (if it is not already at maximum and the modules are socketed). It is unlikely there is anything else you can modify.

yes!
The best way is to download the updated code and check the README file for any special upgrade instructions. In general, most modules can be upgraded by uninstalling the old version of the module using the Joomla Installer. Then, install the updated version of the code. Other modules are very simple and can be updated by unzipping the new code and uploading it on top of the old module in the JOOMLA-ROOT/modules folder. Check with each individual module to see which method is the safer and/or recommended path for upgrade.
When you upgrade the modules in your computer, you need to match the latencies of new ones to the old ones in the computer. When they are not the same it can cause the computer to run slow and not run properly.
