This indicates one of several problems with the boot disk:
Possibly not connected properly
Possibly not "JUMPERED" properly
Possible drive failure
Possible disk controller failure
Possible disk file corruption.
Someone can resolve a unmountable boot volume in the PC by either running windows check disc from the command prompt or by reinstalling windows altogether.
Attempt to start the computer in Safe Mode and load a minimal set of drivers. Or you can try rebooting the computer with the operating system disk.
