Some guys complained that vbs is not working, so I'm presenting here another solution.
Copy the following code,paste in any notepad and save as "EnableRegEdit.inf" . Right-click and install; your regedit will be enabled.(Be careful to copy the code exactly as presented here including everything.
Code is in Italic to avoid any misunderstanding...

Generally, folder options disappear due to virus
Just go to the Tools>Folder Options which is present in the menu bar Then after going to Folder Options. Immediately u can see the 'Tasks' part of the Folder Options window. Then in it click the radio button 'Show common tasks in folder'. Then immediately u will see the missed left side bar.....
Open any folder and from menu bar (press 'alt' key if menu bar is not visible) select Tools > Folder Options. A small pop up window will appear, switch to 'view' tab and find 'Don't show hidden files, folder or drives' under Hidden files and folder option click on it and then click 'ok'. Now right click on the desired folder and select 'properties', in the general tab check the option 'hidden' and click 'ok'. Press F5 once or refresh via right click and folder or file will disappear.
That is dependant on you folder option setting. Open my computer and click on the tools tab then folder options from tools menu. On the first page there is a choice of open in the same window or open in a new window, check the box you would like to use and you should be good.
in regedit go there HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer and find NoFolderOptions its Value 1 change it with 0 after re login your folder options appear

You or someone else may have taken off the option to hide system files. To check this when you're in a folder click the tools menu then folder options then view and check hide protected operating system files.

Or you can open My Computer and navigate your way there. If your shortcuts are still there you can right click the System Tools folder and select copy. Then right click on Start and choose Open All Users and navigate to the Accessories folder and paste the System Tools Folder in there.
