How can someone connect a laptop to a television?

on the back of my tv there is a plug like the one on the back of your laptop that you would plug a monitor into all you have to do is go to your local bestbuy/futureshop and get a double sided plug like the one on the end of a monitor plug one end into the tv and the other end into the laptop or you can use an old fashioned s-video cable but they dont work as well

this depends on the laptop...but they have converters for that...if you go to Best Buy or something like that ask for a "TV tuner for your laptop" they should have what you need (but i will say that its going to be expensive...once you find out what it looks like go to ebay or something like that and find one)

You should need a s-video port or a HDMI port. you have an LCD TV you can buy any of the two cables for your laptop brand .
