How can you evade a Wikipedia block?

The reason for bans are violations of the Terms of Service. If you didn't read them, and inadvertently violated some of them, you could be reinstated. If a Supervisor provided guidance and it was ignored, or worse, and then you insulted the Supervisor, chances are pretty slim!

And posting bad language, spam, cyberbullying and vandalism aren't likely to be given a second chance.

First, ask the blocking administrator, either using the "email This User" feature or by adding {{unblock|<reason for unblocking>}} to your user talk page.

If that doesn't work, for example if you have email disabled, for the English Wikipedia you can try emailing unblock-en-l@lists.wikimedia.org (it is not necessary to subscribe in order to post to this list).

Finally, you can contact the Ban Appeals Subcommittee of the Arbitration Committee, at Wikipedia:Arbitration_Committee#BASC.
