Turn your phone off and leave it alone for a long time until all of the water is dried out of it, because if it is left on while wet you can fry it. After the insides are all dry, when you turn it one, it might still work. This happened to someone I know, and they're phone still works after doing this, and it happened to them over a year ago.
buy a new one
take it apart [like take the battery out/sim card] and put it in a bag of uncooked rice ! leave it in there for a week and try it again . mine worked again . (:
SticK it in a bag of rice
Not really, it give the phone more water residue, either use rice or use the cool setting on a blow dryer.
I had dropped my phone in water and mines doing that.
That depends on the fine print in the warranty, which varies from company to company.
Rice prevents bits of moisture, it will not dry out the drenched phone sufficiently enough to make it work again. It only takes a fraction of a second for any moisture to penetrate a crack in a mobile phone casing, and that the phone is turned on, water being a conductor of electricity, will short out all electrical connections and render the phone useless. No amount of rice can undo an electrical short.
Well, id keep it in all night. I did that with my ipod and it worked as well as my phone.I think it depends on the phone. My husband ran his through the washer, we put it in rice for 3 days and it never worked again.
With any device as such you should take out the battery and put both the battery and phone in a bag of rice for AT LEAST a day. Then, try again. If it doesn't work...you're SOL.
Anything electrical can break ! A phone could be dropped in water (which may 'short-out' the circuitry). You could damage the power socket - making it impossible to recharge the phone.
A furniture polish will not help. Call your service provider for advice.
When a smartphone is dropped in water, the water can damage the internal components of the phone, causing it to malfunction or stop working altogether. It is important to remove the phone from the water immediately and avoid turning it on to prevent further damage.
