For preteens, its hard for them to tell people that they like them. This is because they are young and just expirencing it. What you should do is ask to talk to him for a second. Just say this:

"Hey.. Well, ive been thinking about something and its really hard for me to say. I have a crush on you/like you."

well you start by asking him wether he likes you if he says yes then say can i tell you something if he says yes to that say no its ok then hopefully hell keep nagging you to tell him so when you tell him he will hopefully say if this works wich it did for me he will ask if you want to be girlfriend and boyfriend say yes if this does not work dont be upset. girl, do what i do. go up and take a deep breath, so he knows u r under a lot of stress.then, tell him you like him, and wait for him to respondplease be aware that he might not like u back, but keep your hopes up. he's probaly just not the one.
