There is a copy and paste function on Macs. It is essentially the same as PC type computers, but rather than pressing the Ctrl-C keys, you press Command-C. The command key is located on the keyboard below the X-key.
You can copy exactly as you do on a PC using the mouse.

you could find some good symbols on websites, copy and paste them onto a word document and then whenever you want to use them, copy and paste the symbol you want onto your affix. I have a mac too so I know what I'm talking about :)
