There is no place where you can get iMovie HD 6 effects for free.
This will vary depending on the version of iMovie you are using. The general editing menu (where you can edit titles, add video effects, etc.) should be a prominent tab labeled Editing as soon as you open up a blank iMovie screen.
No, these two applications are very different from each other. While both are editing programs from the Apple company, Imovie HD has effects, for example, "earthquake", that aren't on imovie 09. However Imovie 09 has effects like green screen and picture in picture.
The Simplest Special Effects you can use are the ones built into iMovie. For Example, you can apply an instant replay function, or a video effect such a negative to a clip. To see other special effects that are more complicated like embedding a explosion into an iMovie Project, check out my Youtube iMovie Special Effects Playlist in the "related links" section below.
To add photos to an unfinished iMovie project, open your project in iMovie and navigate to the media library. Click on the "Photos" tab, where you can browse your photo library. Simply drag and drop the desired photos into the timeline at the location you want them to appear. You can then adjust their duration and apply transitions or effects as needed.
Apple has great tutorials but i will show tell you how first you will need to name your project than you will have to record yourself or you can just put pictures. then there's cropping, adding music, and more play around with it and get familair
there is but you have to pay
If you want sound effects, go to the toolbar on the middle right (I am talking about imovie 08,09, and 11) and click on the music icon, the same icon in itunes. You should see options for music from garageband, itunes, and one or two sound effect folders. double click those folders for a long list of sound effects you can add.
Yes, you can use iPhoto slideshows in iMovie by exporting the slideshow as a video file from iPhoto and then importing that video into iMovie. Simply create your slideshow in iPhoto, export it to your desired format, and then open iMovie to add the exported slideshow to your project. This allows you to incorporate your iPhoto slideshows into your iMovie edits seamlessly.
